The TV tower was completed in 1953 in Sakae, Nagoya, Japan's first integrated radio tower, and has long been a symbol of Nagoya. In 2002, near the southwest of the TV Tower, Oasis 21 opened as a complex of public facilities, such as a bus terminal and a park, as well as commercial facilities. Although the size is small, the steel frame of Oasis 21 and the TV tower has been faithfully reproduced with traditional woodblock prints down to the smallest detail.
